What shotguns have a drop safe trigger mechanism?

If you are going to comment “just don’t drop your shotgun” or “No gun is completely drop safe” please just fuck off.

GuestJune 14, 2021 at 6:55 pmThere is no such thing, but manufacturers have been working to make guns (not just shotguns) more drop safe at least since before the turn of the century. Most will take a good jar or drop, but there is always that outlier that hits just hard enough or in just the right spot to set off the gun.
As to your “fuck off”; well, if all you wanted was a blank post, why even ask the question. No gun manufactured now or ever is 100% drop safe even if ones were created explicitly for the purpose of being dropped, they would not be completely drop safe owing to mechanical failure and chance.

GuestJune 14, 2021 at 6:55 pmSince no guns are completely drop safe I highly recommend not dropping them

i think you’d have to drop it really far and on a hard service anyways
if parts are broken or worn out it can fire very easily depending on the model,
depends if something is blocking a sear or keeping the firing pin in place

GuestJune 14, 2021 at 6:55 pmPretty much all modern ones – except that there’s no such thing at 100% drop safe. I mean, manufacturers spend a lot of money designing their guns to be drop safe (guns of all types) and still guns come out that can go off with a hammer hit.
Well, there is, but it involves removing the firing mechanism.
